Mike Harris, Sandy Hook Conspiracy Theorist, Has Neo-Nazi Ties

From white supremacists to conspiracy theorists, extremist circles have been promoting Mike Harris’ claim that Israel is behind the Sandy Hook Massacre. Harris was given a platform to disseminate his hateful views on Press TV, the Iranian government’s English-language propaganda network.

Harris has ties to members of the National Socialist Movement (NSM), the country’s largest neo-Nazi group. Harris was an associate of J.T. Ready, a former NSM member and an anti-immigrant activist who shot and killed five people in May 2012, before killing himself.

In October 2009, Harris attended an NSM rally in Riverside, California, along with Ready (see photo). Harris joined NSM members for a group shot at the Riverside rally. He is in the back row, the fourth person from the left. Ready is the second person from the left in the same row, holding his hand in a “Sieg Heil” salute.

Harris’s conspiratorial ideas about Jews extend beyond the tragedy at Sandy Hook. In 2011, for example, he wrote an article in the anti-Semitic website Veterans Today that blamed “organized Jewry, the Neo-Pharisees that comprise the unelected criminal shadow government” for the tragic shooting in Tucson in which 19 people were shot.

He called Congresswoman Giffords a “pawn” in the Jews’ “bigger agenda,” which included perpetrating 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombing as false flag operations to help bring about a totalitarian state in America which would “impose hell” on American citizens.

Hamas Media “Mouthpiece” Delivers Terrorist News Through iTunes App

The Palestinian Information Center (PIC), which claims to serve as the media arm of Hamas, has a free application on iTunes that provides access to the latest news and statements by Hamas.

The app, released in Sept 2012, can be accessed by searching iTunes for the term “Hamas” only in Arabic. The app is available for both the iPhone and iPad. The app provides a selection of news from the PIC and also acts as a gateway to the PIC website.

PIC, established in December 1997, states on its English language pages that it is “an independent Palestinian organization.” The Arabic version of its website, however, describes itself as “the mouthpiece of resistance, Hamasa and Jihad.”

The PIC website, which provides links to various Hamas affiliated websites, features the latest issues of Qassamyoon, the magazine of Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of Hamas. The magazine glorifies terrorism and includes military instructions on how to engage with “the enemy.”

One article on the website reads in part, “Why do Zionists exaggerate in showing their hate towards Hitler? Is it because of their Holocaust allegation and their attempt to gain the sympathy of the world, or are there other reasons that fuel up this hatred?”

In July, ADL exposed a similar smartphone application launched by Hezbollah. That application, which provided access to Hezbollah’s satellite television station, al-Manar, was promptly removed by Apple and Google.

Iranian Leader Embraces Social Media

There is now a Facebook page in Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s name, likely making him the world’s most socially-networked autocratic leader. The account, created on December 13, currently boasts over 16,000 ‘Likes’ and provides Khamenei with another platform to disseminate his regime’s anti-West, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic messages.

Previously, Khamenei described Facebook as a “Zionist” tool. Facebook has been blocked inside Iran since the 2009 mass protests after the reelection of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Although Khamenei’s Facebook account is only days old, a video from his Youtube channel featuring images of the Star of David and destroyed Palestinian villages was uploaded to the page on December 18. The video, called “New Middle East, Islamic Middle East,” begins with a clip of former Security of State Condoleezza Rice superimposed with a Star of David. The video also contains footage of Hasidic Jews standing in front of a screen with an image of a crying child and a dead Palestinian, and a montage from a 2006 speech by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The five-minute video ends with a clip of a 2010 Khamenei speech in which he is presented as predicting the formation of a new Islamic Middle East and then declaring, “Palestine will be liberated” and insists that “Resistance is necessary.”

Khamenei first made his social media debut in 2009 with a Twitter account, @Khamenei_ir. The account conveys what appear to be officially sanctioned messages from the Supreme Leader in Farsi, English, Arabic and French. The tweets often make use of the regime’s typical vitriolic language against the U.S. and Israel, while praising terrorist organizations.

For example, following Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense in November against Hamas rocket fire from Gaza, Khamenei tweeted a gloating message in Farsi, “Who would have believed that in a war between a section of Palestine and Israel, the Palestinians would be the ones setting the conditions for a ceasefire/ Bravo to Hamas and [Islamic] Jihad.” In an English-language message in January, Khamenei tweeted, “The Zionists, Great Satan-#USA-& Western powers are incapable in facing Islamic awakening, & they’ll fail more & more.”

The use of social media has also been increasingly utilized by U.S. Government designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).
