Anti-Jewish Conspiracy Theories Mark Farrakhan’s 2013 Saviours’ Day Address in Chicago

Louis Farrakhan’s keynote address during this past weekend’s annual Saviours’ Day convention once again featured anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about Jewish political and financial control of the United States.

Among the anti-Semitic conspiracies Farrakhan propagated during his three-hour address to approximately 8,300 people at the University of Illinois Chicago, is the notion that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Federal Reserve Bank, and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) were set up by the Jews in tandem to control the fiscal policies of the United States:

“And today in 2013, we are in December of this year 100 years since the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank and the Internal Revenue Service and the ADL. America’s debt has gone from two billion dollars to more than sixteen trillion dollars. Now they set these institutions up to work in unity: the Federal Reserve the IRS and the ADL. One was to create debt, the other was to enforce a tax policy to take from the American citizens enough to pay that debt, and the watchdog of the whole thing was to see who would recognize who did this and that’s when the ADL raised the cry of anti-Semitism, and now America is seeing herself in ruin because of it.”

Farrakhan also listed statistics on Jewish members of the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court before concluding, “Special interests along with Zionist AIPAC are robbing America of the principle of democracy and representative government.”

Farrakhan then raised the nomination of Senator Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense to make claims against the Jewish State:

“You need a man like Senator Hagel as your Secretary of Defense because a man with a mind like that will keep you out of fighting someone else’s wars. You need a man in government that has another opinion that is not controlled, and if the Senate does not confirm him as Defense Secretary because of his opinion on Israel, that only proves that the Senate and the U.S. Congress is controlled by the Israel lobby, and it also sentences America to war with Iran for the state of Israel.”

Farrakhan’s anti-Semitism has not been limited to his latest Saviours’ Day address. The Nation of Islam (NOI) continues to engage in a wide-ranging propaganda campaign against Jews through its media arm.  For example, in a February 9 article in the NOI’s newspaper, The Final Call, Farrakhan claimed that Jews control the media and are behind what he describes as an inaccurate portrayal of him in a Lifetime movie on the lives of Coretta Scott King and Betty Shabazz:

“The Jewish people behind this film have characterized Farrakhan as the ‘No. 1 Anti-Semite.’…Those who control this movie, those who wrote the script—those who control the media—all want to try me in the court of public opinion.”

Farrakhan also continues to promote his ideology in a 52-week lecture series titled “The Time and What Must Be Done.” While the first seven installments of these lectures have focused mostly on theological topics, Farrakhan sometimes digresses into racist conspiracy theories. In one lecture he accuses the American government of hatching a plan to kill “two to three billion people on our planet…Could this be why, in Africa, AIDS is slaughtering black men and women, particularly in those areas where the mineral resources of that area is necessary to keep American in power in this 21st century?”

Coming Soon: “Khaiber” The Genocide Of Jews In Arabia

Update: “Khaiber” writer, Yusri Al-Jindy, says now is the time to expose Jews.

A production company in Qatar will reportedly start filming a multi-million dollar television series next month commemorating the genocide of Jews in Arabia in the 7th century.

The series, called “Khaiber,” is based on a script written by Yusri Al-Jindy, an Egyptian writer who has previously depicted Israelis and Jews as bloodthirsty savages in his work. One of his plays about the 1967 war, titled “The Wandering Jew,” was banned in Egypt.

The series, produced by the Doha-based Echo Media Qatar, is supposedly scheduled to be filmed in several Arab countries, including Morocco, Egypt and Jordan, and will apparently feature several well-known Arab actors. Echo Media Qatar has reportedly started building sets with structures similar to the ones inhabited by Jews 1,400 years ago.

A report on Al Jazeera in Arabic yesterday described “Khaiber” as “the most important feature of the Islamic-Jewish fight. Muslims always raise its name in their rallies against Israel because it constitutes a memory of a harsh defeat for the Jews who lived in the Arabian Peninsula during the time of prophet.”

The story of “Khaiber,” according to most Islamic sources, ends with the execution of thousands of Jews, including women and children. Protesters at anti-Israel rallies around the world, including the U.S., often evoke this battle in their chants to galvanize supporters.

According to Al Jazeera, Al-Jindy said he wrote the script because “the Zionist movement is currently passing through a turning point as a result of the changes in the Arab world.”

According to another report in the Qatari newspaper Al-Raya, the series will focus “on the social, economic and religious characteristics of the Jews including politics and conspiracies and how they dominate and control tribes.”

Past Echo Media Qatar productions have promoted conspiracies about Jews. In 2010, Echo Media Qatar produced a series called “The Collapse of the Caliphate” for Ramadan that blamed Jews for conspiring with the enemies of the Sultan to end the Islamic Caliphate.

When completed, the series will likely reinforce the dehumanization of Jews in the Arab world in the same way that previous programs have done, such as the 2003 Egyptian television series “Knight Without a Horse” which was based on the notorious forgery, “The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion.” Series such as this, often aired during Ramadan, are generally very popular and receive broader viewership than programs aired throughout the rest of the year.

Iranian Terror Plots Continue To Spread Around the Globe

Even as Iran seeks to mend ties with Argentina over the 1994 terrorist attack on the AMIA Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, Iran continues to be implicated in terror plots on Western, Israeli and Jewish targets around the world.

Yesterday, Nigerian security services announced the arrest of three men accused of surveilling targets for a possible Iranian-backed attack in the city of Lagos. The three men, all Nigerians, were tasked with gathering “intelligence on public places and prominent hotels frequented by American and Israelis” according to a State Security Service spokeswoman.  She also claimed that the leader of the cell sent pictures of the local Israeli culture center to his Iranian handlers.  The leader has confessed to spying on behalf of Iran.

Also yesterday, a man on trial in Cyprus for scouting targets where Israelis were likely to be present admitted to being a member of the Iranian-backed terrorist organization Hezbollah.  He was arrested less than two weeks before a bombing in Burgas, Bulgaria, killed five Israelis in July of last year.  Bulgaria officially implicated two members of Hezbollah in the attack earlier this month.

Since the beginning of 2012, Iran and its proxies have been implicated in a series of plots and attacks on Jewish and Israeli targets, including:

  • January 2012: A failed bomb plot targeting Israelis in Thailand was linked to Iran-backed Hezbollah.
  • January 2012: Azerbaijani authorities arrested two men linked to Iranian intelligence over a plot to attack the Israeli Ambassador and a local rabbi.
  • February 2012: Iranian intelligence was linked to the bombing of an Israeli embassy vehicle in India which injured the wife of the Israeli Defense Attaché and three others.
  • February 2012: Israel blamed Iran after a bomb was discovered targeting an embassy car in Georgia; it was defused before it exploded.
  • February 2012: Azerbaijan arrested members of a cell working linked to Iran and Hezbollah in a plot to target the Israeli Embassy and a Jewish cultural center.
  • February 2012: An explosion in Bangkok led to the arrest of three Iranians.
  • March 2012: Azerbaijan arrested members of a cell targeting the Israeli and American embassies on behalf of Iran.
  • April 2012: Intelligence services reportedly searched for Iranian agent in Turkey suspected of plotting attacks on Western, Israeli and Jewish targets.
  • April 2012: India expelled an Iranian national listed by the Iranian consulate as a government employee after he was found casing Israeli and Jewish sites in the city of Pune.
  • June 2012: Two Iranians were arrested in Kenya in possession of chemicals that authorities claimed would be used for bombs. They reportedly were plotting to attack Israeli, American, British or Saudi targets.
  • July 2012: Cypriot authorities arrested a dual Swedish-Lebanese citizen accused of surveilling Israeli targets for a possible attack for Iran-backed Hezbollah.
  • July 2012: At least two members of Iran-backed Hezbollah killed 5 Israelis and their Bulgarian bus driver in the bombing of a tour bus in Burgas, Bulgaria.
