New Black Panther Party (NBPP) chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz has resorted once again to promoting anti-Semitic conspiracies; this time during his recent visits to two Georgia university campuses.

During his “Role and Responsibility of the Black Student college tour,” which consisted of an April 25 lecture at Clark Atlanta University and an April 26 talk at Georgia State University, Shabazz invoked anti-Semitic themes of Jewish financial control and manipulation, claiming that Blacks have “been cheated out of [their] divine destiny by a cheating system, and a cheating people who have cheated us.”

Shabazz claimed that he had “shocking and revealing information” regarding “white Jewish entertainment firms who control our artists… Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jackson and Beyonce and all of them.” He also discussed “pulling a cover off of the so-called Jews who are exploiting our people,” implying Jewish and white control of Howard University, referring to “puppet masters” that set up traditionally Black colleges “to produce a subservient student.”

In a digression about fashion designer Marc Jacobs, who Shabazz mischaracterizes as a diamond merchant, Shabazz asked the audience for “the big Jewish guy’s name that sells the diamonds” and then admonished rappers, referring to them as “high paid slaves,” to “stop jocking Jacob and come to Africa and get your own diamond mine.”

Shabazz also used his platform to deny Jewish history saying, “The original Jew is not Shimon Peres. The original Jew is not Bibi Netanyahu. He is an imposter. The Jew and so-called Israel is an imposter…I guess they’ll say that’s anti-Semitic, but truth is truth.”

During the campus visits, Shabazz, along with NBPP Atlanta Chairwoman Nadia Assata Shakur, pitched the student audiences to become more involved with the NBPP and encouraged them to stay in touch by texting their information to the party in order to learn about the “benefits to being part of us” such as organized trips to Africa. There appeared to have about a dozen or fewer students in attendance at each visit.

On that note, Shabazz also announced the formation of a “new Black travel agency” which he hopes to use to take “at least one thousand” NBPP members to visit Africa starting in June 2014. This announcement comes after a delegation of NBPP leaders returned from South Africa and Zimbabwe in March with plans to expand NBPP’s international activity and outreach.

According to Shabazz, the tour was partially sponsored by Hip Hop Enquirer Magazine.

Two AMIA Bombing Suspects Run For Iran Presidency

Ali Akbar Velayati and Mohsen Rezai

As the presidential election in Iran approaches in June, it is noteworthy that two candidates with links to the 1994 attack on a Jewish center in Argentina passed the regime’s vetting process and are standing as candidates for president of Iran.

The two individuals, Mohsen Rezai and Ali Akbar Velayati, have been accused of planning the Argentine Jewish Mutual Association (AMIA) Jewish center bombing in Buenos Aires, which killed 85 people and injured over 250.

Rezai, a former commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), is sought by Interpol for his alleged involvement in the case. He is currently the Secretary of the Expediency Council.

In 2006, when Velayati was Iran’s Foreign Minister, Argentinian authorities accused him of approving the AMIA bombing. He has also been accused by German authorities of planning the 1992 “Mykonos Assassination” attacks in Berlin that killed several Iranian Kurdish leaders.

This is not the first time suspected individuals linked to the AMIA bombing have run for president of Iran. In 2009, Rezai ran against current Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and lost.

Under the presidency of Ahmadinejad, Ahmad Vahidi, who is also on Interpol’s Most Wanted List, was named Iran’s defense minister in 2009. Vahidi has been accused by Argentinian officials of helping plan the July 1994 attack.

In early 2013, the Iranian and Argentine governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that would bypass Argentina’s judicial system and set up an international Truth Commission to investigate the bombings. While the Argentine Senate gave its approval in February, President Ahmadinejad only approved the measure on May 19 by sidestepping a vote in the Iranian parliament. The MOU stipulates that the agreement must be submitted to each country’s respective legal bodies for approval.

In Vancouver, Washington, a Cluster of Luysters

Members of the Clark County, Washington, SWAT team arrested three men this past week, at least two of them known white supremacists, in connection with a possible hate crime at a Vancouver bar in March 2013.  Arrested at their separate residences were Brent Ward Luyster, Robert Arlen Luyster, and Donald H. McElfish.

The three men allegedly attacked a 45-year-old black man at a bar in Rose Village, punching, kicking and beating the victim while using racial slurs and threatening to kill him.  Police have charged the three suspects with second-degree felony assault and racially motivated malicious harassment.

The two Luyster brothers have a long history of white supremacy and criminal activity, dating back to at least 2000.  That summer, as racist skinheads, the two men (and two others) attacked an African-American man in a racially-motivated assault.  They pleaded guilty to assault charges in 2001.  Three years later, police arrested Brent W. Luyster again, this time for violating parole by associating with another white supremacist.  In July 2005, Vancouver police arrested Brent W. Luyster and another white supremacist on allegations of malicious harassment.

Brent W. and Robert A. Luyster have not, however, been the only Luysters to have gotten in trouble in this fashion.  In late 2004, another Brent Luyster, Brent D. Luyster (identifiable by the “white pride” tattoos on his upper arms), briefly escaped from the Larch Corrections Center in eastern Clark County.  He may be the father of Brent W. and Robert.

In early 2005, Portland, Oregon, police arrested a fourth white supremacist Luyster, Michael Lee Luyster, for not having a driver’s license while transporting a carload of white supremacists to protest at a local community center.  Portland is just south of Vancouver.
