Anti-Semite John Friend Interviews Center for Immigration Fellow on His Radio Show

John Friend, host of “The Realist Report”

David North, a fellow with the anti-immigrant group Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) appeared on “The Realist Report,” a radio show hosted by the virulent anti-Semite and Holocaust denier, John Friend. The show focused on immigration.

After the interview with North, Friend also promoted his white supremacist views regarding immigration. He wrote in the comments section of his website that he wished he asked North the following question: “In your view, do traditionally White Western European countries have the right to maintain and protect their traditional racial, ethnic, and cultural heritage?” Also in the comments section, Friend promoted the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Jews are responsible for non-white immigration to the United States.

Though CIS claims to be a mainstream organization that is against illegal immigration, this is not the first example of CIS associating itself with anti-Semites. In November of 2012, CIS circulated an article to its members authored by Virginia Abernethy. Abernethy serves on the editorial board of the Occidental Quarterly, an anti-Semitic publication edited by anti-Semitic professor Kevin MacDonald. In May 2012, CIS legal policy analyst, Jon Feere, provided quotes for  article titled, “‘Big Ag’ Favors Illegal Immigration” in American Free Press (AFP), a conspiracy-oriented anti-Semitic newspaper run by long-time anti-Semite and Holocaust denier, Willis Carto.

It is not clear if North knew about Friend’s anti-Semitism but even a cursory look at Friend’s work would have revealed his extreme views. Friend has written numerous anti-Semitic articles for AFP and on his personal website. His homepage contains quotes from Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels. In a May 2013 article on his website, Friend wrote, “The arrogance, deceit, and treachery of the organized Jewish community knows no bounds.  Adolf Hitler was quite correct when he described the Jews as having an ‘unqualified capacity for falsehood.’” In a March 2013, article, Friend called the Holocaust a “fake narrative.”

In March 2013, Friend also announced the creation of the American Nationalist Association (ANA), a group which “aims to develop and advance the interests of traditional White America.” ANA’s statement of principles also reveals Friend’s anti-Semitism. The statement urges peoples of European ancestry to “Expose and reject all forms of Communism, Cultural Marxism, International Zionism, Globalism, Multi-Culturalism, and all Un-American rackets, frauds and organizations, including Usury and International Finance Capitalism.”

Muslim Brotherhood Rabaa TV Starts Broadcasting From Istanbul

The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood launched a new television station on December 20, 2013, in Istanbul, Turkey. The new station, Rabaa TV, will broadcast news about the Muslim world in Arabic and claims it will be a “platform for freedom.”

To kick off the network, Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the radical Muslim Brotherhood ideologue and outspoken supporter of terrorist groups, made an appearance on the station’s inaugural broadcast. Qaradawi, has been vocally opposed to the military takeover of Egypt in July, calling the incident a “coup that raped the office of the Egyptian president.”

The network’s name, Rabaa, refers to the name of the Cairo mosque where pro-Brotherhood demonstrators were faced with violence by security forces after weeks of protests. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who welcomed the Brotherhood’s ascension to power following the 2011 revolution, has been outspoken in his support for former Brotherhood leader, Mohamed Morsi.

The coming days will tell if the channel will embrace previous anti-Semitic narratives featured in other Muslim Brotherhood media outlets.

Newly Designated African Terror Group Targets Israel And Jews

Mokhtar Belmokhtar, also known as 'the one-eyed', who broke away from Aqim to form al-Mulathamin

Mokhtar Belmokhter

The West African al-Mulathamun Battalion, classified last week by the State Department as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO), has a record of targeting Israel, threatening Jews and utilizing anti-Zionist rhetoric to inspire its followers.

In 2011, the group’s leader Mokhtar Belmokhter said that his followers tried “to kill the ambassador of the Zionist entity” in a drive-by shooting of the Israeli embassy in Mauritania. In addition to the embassy, they also shot at a nightclub that Belmokhtar claimed the ambassador had been in moments before.

In December 2012, within a month of formally breaking away from Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, with which they had been affiliated, the al-Mulathamun Battalion spokesman said, “I hope that France realizes that it is going to have dozens of Mohammed Merhas and Khaled Kelkals.” Readers may recall, Mohammed Merah attacked students at the Otzar HaTorah Jewish school in France in March, 2012, and Khaled Kelkal took part in a series of bombings in France in 1995 that included the bombing of a Jewish school in Lyon.

In August 2013, the al-Mulathamun Battalion created an alliance with an organization called the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa, which has also been designated by the State Department as an FTO. The alliance’s stated raison d’etre was “to confront the Zionist campaign against Islam and Muslims.”

Such anti-Jewish and anti-Israel rhetoric and threats are common for Islamist terrorist organizations.
