“Netanyahu, you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide!”: A Round-Up of Anti-Israel Protests in the U.S. on November 20

At least ten rallies were held on Tuesday to protest Israel’s operations in Gaza to thwart rocket attacks that target Israeli civilians. Below is a sampling of yesterday’s anti-Israel protests:

Atlanta, GA

A rally was organized by a group called “In Solidarity With Gaza” that drew approximately 150 people. Demonstrators chanted “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,”  “Free, Free Palestine. Long live Palestine!” and “From the beach to the water, Israel is responsible for slaughter!”

A number of protesters held signs that used inflammatory rhetoric, including “Israel, the new Nazis,” “Stop the genocide in Gaza!” “Stop the genocide. Save the children!” and a sign that had a Star of David with a swastika drawn in the center of it. Some of the protesters also used chalk to write messages on the sidewalk near the demonstration, including “Fuck Zionism,” “Arab Holocaust” and “No To Genocide.”

Birmingham, AL

Approximately 30 students on campus got together for an “emergency rally” for Gaza, according to the University of Alabama, Birmingham’s campus newspaper. Students chanted “Gaza, Gaza, don’t you cry, Palestine will never die,” “Netanyahu, you can’t hide. We charge you with genocide!” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”

The student newspaper also showed photographs of students holding signs that read, “Gaza, declared by UN, as world’s largest open-air prison” and “U.S. Tax $$ funds ethnic cleansing, APARTHEID, and human rights violations.”

Boston, MA

Approximately 1,000 people rallied in Copley Square at a demonstration organized by the Northeastern University chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine. The demonstrators held signs that said “65+ years of Israeli colonization and ethnic cleansing,” “End Israeli apartheid,” We say NO to Israel’s war crimes,” “US: Stop support for murderous, apartheid Israel. Save the people of Gaza!” and “The massacre goes on! Gaza needs your voice NOW.”

The Israelis should have reacted to the Quassam missiles months ago in lieu of tolerating them falling on Israeli territory and its citizens for almost two years now. Waiting for the Palestinian Arab rejectionists to borrow thousands of the much more effective Iranian Fajr-5 SAMS to accomplish extreme damage on the Jewish people is outrageous and intolerable and only aids the enemies of the Jewish people. If Israel had reacted consistently with each barrage of missiles, no matter how beneign the damage, everyone without exception would have been able to make the link. By waiting until the situation became intolerable for the Israeli people, both Arabs and Jews, only further fuels the rejectionists and Arab political Islamists and their supporters. Back in the 1970s, one would see the Mogan David sign = the Swatzsticker sign at the universities in Paris, France. In fact, the Arab students at the French universities would cover entire walls in buildings at the French universities, overwhelming the university officials’ ability to clean the walls and/or repaint the walls in a timely fashion. The French university officials warned the American Jewish students to be extremely careful, because there were continuous stabbings and rapes of the Jewish students by the Arabs. What is happening now in the United States is a direct result of the influx of Arab Muslims immigrants from the Middle Eastern region. As these immigrants are further assimiliated, things will quiet down. It just means wading it out for another fifteen to twenty years or so. As the U.S. military further engages in the region just like the Europeans did, there will be more and more Arab immigrants to the U.S. Hey, if you can’t stomach the Arab anti-Semitism, you should not have voted the Republicans (GOP), starting with Reagan and ending with the junior Bush. The Jewish Democrats warned you what would happen, but you didn’t listen, because you are so stingy toward your fellow Americans (yelling “socialism” each time you are expected to reciprocate by paying your fair share of taxes). 9/11 would never have happened, if you listened to us. You were warned over and over and over again. Now, you must deal with it just like your Jewish brothers and sisters have repeatedly dealt with it in places like France. I would suggest conferring with your brothers and sisters in France, because most American Jews are just beginners, when it comes to Arab anti-Semitism. I would suggest making appointments to speak with your French Jewish counterparts in lieu of just crying about the Arab anti-Semitism in American streets.
