Head of Anti-Hispanic Hate Group Interviewed by Anti-Semitic Publication

The conspiracy-oriented anti-Semitic pub­li­ca­tion, Amer­i­can Free Press (AFP) inter­viewed Glenn Spencer, who heads the anti-Hispanic hate group, Amer­i­can Bor­der Patrol(ABP), in an arti­cle pub­lished on July 16, 2012.  ABP reg­u­larly does video sur­veil­lance of the Mexican-American border. 

The arti­cle, “Obama Exec­u­tive Order Means Open Door Amnesty,” was writ­ten by reg­u­lar AFP con­trib­u­tor and con­spir­acy the­o­rist Vic­tor Thorn.  It focuses on Spencer’s views about Pres­i­dent Obama’s exec­u­tive order allow­ing many young undoc­u­mented immi­grants to legally remain in the United States. In the arti­cle, Spencer pro­motes anti-Hispanic con­spir­acy the­o­ries about Mex­i­cans tak­ing over the South­west and accuses Pres­i­dent Obama of try­ing to cre­ate a one-world gov­ern­ment under the ban­ner of “globalism.”

Spencer has been warn­ing of a plan by Mex­i­cans to “invade” and “con­quer” the South­west­ern U.S. for more than a decade. He has claimed that the Mex­i­can gov­ern­ment is “spon­sor­ing the inva­sion of the United States with hos­tile intent.”  Spencer has also attended white suprema­cist events and had a let­ter pub­lished on the racist web­site, VDARE.com.

Despite his views and activ­i­ties, Spencer has been given some degree of legit­i­macy by pre­sent­ing him­self as an author­ity on immi­gra­tion. In March 2012, he spoke to the Ari­zona State Senate’s Bor­der Secu­rity Committee.  

Thorn, who inter­views Spencer for AFP, is also very prob­lem­atic. In addi­tion to writ­ing con­spir­a­to­r­ial arti­cles for AFP, he has pub­lished books pro­mot­ing anti-government and anti-Semitic con­spir­acy the­o­ries. His lat­est book, The Holo­caust Hoax Exposed: Debunk­ing the 20th Century’s Biggest Lie, clearly pro­motes Holo­caust denial. AFP itself focuses on anti-Semitic themes, from anti-Israel con­spir­acy the­o­ries to Holo­caust denial. AFP is pub­lished by long-time anti-Semite and Holo­caust denier Willis Carto.

Neo-Nazi Bill White Arrested in Mexico

Author­i­ties arrested neo-Nazi Bill White in Mex­ico on June 8, after he allegedly spent nearly a month on the run.  He is report­edly back in the United States and being held in Miami, Florida.

A fed­eral arrest war­rant was issued for White after it was dis­cov­ered that he was no longer in Vir­ginia, where he was on pro­ba­tion.  A fed­eral jury had con­victed him in Decem­ber 2009 on four counts, includ­ing mak­ing threats on the Inter­net and wit­ness intim­i­da­tion. White, who served over two years in prison, was released in April 2011.
 
White may have feared being sent back to prison. His appeal of his con­vic­tion on First Amend­ment grounds led a fed­eral appeals court to uphold the con­vic­tion in March 2012. How­ever, the court also ruled that White should have received a stiffer sen­tence on one of the counts involv­ing intim­i­dat­ing let­ters he sent to the African-American res­i­dents of a Vir­ginia Beach hous­ing com­plex who were fil­ing a dis­crim­i­na­tion suit against their white land­lord. The U.S. gov­ern­ment, which had orig­i­nally indicted White, asserted that because at least one of the ten­ants had young chil­dren, White should have received an enhanced sen­tence for tar­get­ing an espe­cially vul­ner­a­ble pop­u­la­tion. The appeals court agreed with the government’s argu­ment. White had been sched­uled to appear in U.S. Dis­trict Court in Roanoke, Vir­ginia, in May for resen­tenc­ing in the case.
 
Since his release from prison in April 2011, White had been writ­ing for two anti-Semitic pub­li­ca­tions, the conspiracy-oriented Amer­i­can Free Press (AFP) and The Barnes Review (TBR), a Holo­caust denial pub­li­ca­tion. Both are pub­lished by long-time anti-Semite Willis Carto.
 
More recently, in March 2012, AFP announced that it was host­ing a book release din­ner in honor of White’s new book, Cen­turies of Rev­o­lu­tion: Democ­racy, Com­mu­nism, Zion­ism. The event was co-hosted by TBR and the white suprema­cist Coun­cil of Con­ser­v­a­tive Cit­i­zens.
 
White is the for­mer head of the now-defunct Amer­i­can National Social­ist Work­ers Party, and a for­mer leader in the National Social­ist Move­ment.

Iran’s Press TV Gives Voice to Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theorists

Mark Glenn, a con­trib­u­tor to the anti-Semitic, conspiracy-oriented pub­li­ca­tion Amer­i­can Free Press, was inter­viewed on March 11 by Iran’s English-language pro­pa­ganda tele­vi­sion sta­tion, Press TV. Dur­ing the inter­view, Glenn claimed that the suf­fer­ing inflicted on the Pales­tini­ans by Israel is greater than the atroc­i­ties Jews faced dur­ing the Holocaust.
Glenn, who sub­scribes to and pro­motes numer­ous anti-Semitic con­spir­acy the­o­ries, also said that “ Israel’s exis­tence is totally depen­dent upon keep­ing the peo­ple around her divided, squab­bling,” and that “sym­pa­thy [for the Holo­caust] has now extended itself way beyond its shelf life.”
Press TV, head­quar­tered in Tehran, has long embraced extrem­ist ele­ments and activists and pro­vided a plat­form for them to air their views and opin­ions, many of which reflect Iran’s world­view. Like Glenn. many of the guests inter­viewed by the sta­tion are known for their con­spir­a­to­r­ial anti-Israel views.
For exam­ple, Ali­son Weir, pres­i­dent of the Coun­cil for the National Inter­est (CNI) and If Amer­i­cans Knew, two anti-Israel orga­ni­za­tion that opposes U.S. aid and sup­port to Israel, was inter­viewed by Press TV regard­ing the 2012 Amer­i­can Israel Pub­lic Affairs Com­mit­tee (AIPAC) con­fer­ence. “AIPAC is very dan­ger­ous to the world and it’s espe­cially dan­ger­ous for Amer­i­cans,” Weir said in the exclu­sive interview.
Another fre­quent guest on Press TV and ally of the Iran­ian regime is Imam Abdul Musa, the head of the Masjid Al Islam Mosque in Wash­ing­ton D.C. and founder of Sabiqun, an anti-Semitic Mus­lim group advo­cat­ing for a global Islamic state. In a 2010 inter­view, Alim Musa claimed that the Israeli Mossad and the U.S. gov­ern­ment were behind most acts of ter­ror­ism, and has fre­quently called the U.S. gov­ern­ment “Zion­ist occupied.”
