Mein Kampf Back on German Bookshelves – The Right Way

For the first time since the end of World War II, Hitler’s manifesto, Mein Kampf, will be available for sale in Germany. The 2,000-page edition includes extensive footnotes and historic annotations deemed critical by the German Government to the book being viewed in its appropriate context.adolf-hitler-mein-kampf-book

In a January 2014 Op-Ed in the New York Daily News, Anti-Defamation League National Director, Abraham H. Foxman presciently said,” As an important historical document, “Mein Kampf” must remain available to the public — but not without the essential supplementary texts; the introductions and addendums that put Hitler’s writings into context and explain their relevance today.”

The German Government’s hand was forced on the issue when data came out that Mein Kampf was the top downloaded political science book on Amazon in 2013.  It has been readily available on many services outside Germany, where access by German citizens cannot be prevented. Additionally, the copyright on Mein Kampf expires this December which would make it freely available all across the Internet.

Major online book retailers such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble have worked with ADL over the years to place editorial reviews on Mein Kampf and other anti-Semitic works such as The Protocols of the Elders of Zion and The International Jew to ensure that customers fully understand the authors’ background, intent, context and any issues surrounding the publications.  Recognizing that Mein Kampf will be readily available in Germany and can be an important educational tool, it is appropriate to acknowledge and support the German Government’s insistence upon providing the necessary context.

UAE Book Fair Again Features Anti-Semitic Books

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) in the United Arab Emirates, which is open from April 30– May 5th and hosts exhibitors from over 50 countries, includes notorious anti-Semitic titles among its offering of over 500,000 titles. The book fair is officially organized by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zayed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in cooperation with the Frankfurt Book Fair. Books such as Adolf Hitler’s Mien Kampf and Henry Ford’s notoriously anti-Semitic newsletter, The International Jew, have been featured alongside reputable works on a wide range of topics, such as law, sociology and fiction.abu-dhabi-international-book-fair-uae

The ADIBF comes just months after neighboring emirate Sharjah featured several infamous anti-Semitic books at the Sharjah International Book Fair, including The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion and conspiracy theory-laden Arabic-language titles, such as The Jews and the Secret Movements in the Crusades.

The anti-Semitic books for sale at the ADIBF are listed under various categories and classifications. Adolf Hitler’s notorious 1925 autobiographical manifesto is listed under the category “Politics,” while the Protocols is featured under the categories “Political Science” and “Strategic and Military Studies.”

The book fair also features several Arabic-language anti-Zionist and anti-Israel books published in the Arab world, such as Zionist Terrorism, The Barbarism of the Zionist Entity and The Temple and the Strategic Plans to Judaize Jerusalem.

The guest of honor at this year’s book fair is the Kingdom of Sweden, which will have a special pavilion at the fair. The Swedish Ambassador to the United Arab Emirate, Max Bjuhr,  attended a special ceremony honoring Sweden earlier this week.

“Mein Kampf” Used To Validate Anti-Semitic Forgery On Popular Arab TV Program

A Kuwaiti television program focusing on conspiracy theories featured a discussion on The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. But instead of debunking this notorious anti-Semitic forgery, the program’s host and guest pundit cited Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf to prove the authenticity of the Protocols’ claims.

The program, which aired on September 30 on Al-Rai TV, was hosted by Dr. Mohammed Al-Awady, a well-known television personality, and featured pundit Dr. Muhana Al Muhana.

During their discussion, Al-Awady quoted sections from Mein Kampf, Hitler’s blueprint for world domination and for the destruction of the Jews. Al Muhana responded by claiming that Jews are “wicked” because the Talmud teaches them to treat non-Jews badly and to “suck the other’s blood.”

Citing Hitler’s genocidal anti-Jewish rant in Mein Kampf to validate the Protocols fantasy of a Jewish conspiracy to achieve global domination is not only absurd, but a disturbing reminder of the blatant anti-Semitism that is still broadcast in that region.
