Farrakhan Promotes Million Man March with Anti-Semitism & Bigotry

Nation of Islam (NOI) leader Louis Farrakhan once again expressed anti-Semitism and bigotry at an event to promote the October 10 “Justice…Or Else!” Million Man March (MMM) in Washington, DC.farrakhan-detroit-justice-or-else-million-man-march-2015

At the August 25 Detroit stop of his multi-city “Justice…Or Else!” tour, Farrakhan told his audience that “[Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu can make a call from Israel and senators dance…Here’s a man, leave Israel and come to the U.S. Congress, and talk like he’s at home because he knows his people run the government. You didn’t hear me! Well, if his people run the government, they own the media, they own Hollywood.”

During the event, which took place at Detroit’s Fellowship Chapel, Farrakhan was introduced by Rev. Wendell Anthony, who serves as the pastor of the church as well as the President of the NAACP’s Detroit branch. Rev. Anthony praised the event as “making history.”

Additionally, during Farrakhan’s visit to Detroit, he was presented with a “state of Michigan seal commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Million Man March” as well as a “proclamation” from the State of Michigan by Michigan State Senator Bert Johnson and Michigan State Representative Sherry Gay-Dagnogo.

Farrakhan also incorporated homophobic sentiment into his anti-Jewish conspiracy theories, making the following claims: “Biden said that Hollywood members of the Jewish community single handedly made same sex marriage legal. Now to the Jewish community, if you’re here, how you going to tell me you have a covenant relationship with God? No, listen! I’m going to challenge you on this!” He continued, “You’re God’s chosen people?! And you promote something that God rejects? You’ve lost your covenant status! You are not the chosen of God, you are the chosen of Satan!…You’re promoting homosexuality. God doesn’t. You promote fifth. God condemns it!”

Farrakhan stated that a man who “would want to have sex with another man and say that I’m in love, see, this is a sick society!” Farrakhan also claimed Jews are responsible for the pornography industry, “Most of the 3X 4X 6X movies…most of it is run by members of the Jewish community.”

Farrakhan chastised the transgender community as well, describing Caitlyn Jenner’s transition as “science that is so wicked” claiming that transgender people are the work of Satan. He stated, “Satan wants to turn you so that God will reject you.”

Additionally, in a criticism of U.S. military actions in the Middle East, Farrakhan minimized the role of former Al-Qaeda ideologue Anwar al-Awlaki in encouraging attacks against America and the West asking, “What did al-Awlaki do!? Al-Awlaki disagreed with America’s policies. If you had any sense you would disagree with them too…It’s very sad.” Al-Awlaki was killed in a U.S. airstrike in 2011.

This was not the first event in Farrakhan’s multi-city “Justice…Or Else!” tour to promote hatred against Jews and others.

  • In his August 13 remarks at a church in Milwaukee, Farrakhan told the congregation, “I’m talking about the wicked ones in the Jewish community that run America, run the government, run the world, own the banks, own the means of communication. They are my enemies! But as sure as I’m alive, my enemies will be made my footstool and so will yours.”
  • Also in Milwaukee, Farrakhan said, “Would the Jew had listened to Jesus…but you rebelled against him and killed him.”
  • Farrakhan claimed in Milwaukee that the media have misrepresented him as violent because “white people deserve to die, and they know, so they think it’s us coming to do it.”
  • In his July 30 remarks in Miami, Farrakhan asserted, “A Jew is not a Jew by the circumcision of the male organ but circumcision of the heart.”
  • Also in Miami, Farrakhan’s remarks also took a particularly militant tone. He stated, “If the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us! Stalk them! And kill them! And let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling!”

Farrakhan Promotes Anti-Semitism & Violence In Lead Up To Oct. March

Nation of Islam (NOI) leader Louis Farrakhan has invoked hateful anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and called for violence against white people during his multi-city tour to promote the October 10 “Justice…Or Else!” Million Man March (MMM) in Washington, DC.farrakhan-justice-or-else-miami-2015

In his August 13 remarks at a church in Milwaukee, Farrakhan accused Jews of controlling the media, government and economy. Farrakhan told the congregation, “I’m talking about the wicked ones in the Jewish community that run America, run the government, run the world, own the banks, own the means of communication. They are my enemies! But as sure as I’m alive, my enemies will be made my footstool and so will yours.”

Farrakhan also invoked the canard that Jews killed Jesus stating, “Would the Jew had listened to Jesus…but you rebelled against him and killed him.”

In his July 30 remarks in Miami, Farrakhan asserted “A Jew is not a Jew by the circumcision of the male organ but circumcision of the heart.” Farrakhan’s Miami remarks also took a particularly militant tone. He stated, “If the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us! Stalk them! And kill them! And let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling!”

Farrakhan employed similar rhetoric in Milwaukee, saying that the media have misrepresented him as violent because “white people deserve to die, and they know, so they think it’s us coming to do it.” He continued, “Allahu akbar! God is great! We have no weapon! We bother nobody! Then if you come to take our life, don’t’ be surprised if you lose your own!”

In an effort to build support for the “Justice…Or Else!” MMM, Farrakhan has spoken in Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Houston, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, and Memphis.

Malik Zulu Shabazz, the racist and anti-Semitic former leader of the New Black Panther Party and current leader of Black Lawyers for Justice, has also actively been promoting the event for the NOI in various parts of the country.

The NOI has also organized other local events led by African-American religious and community leaders. Some MMM events have featured support from national, state, and local elected officials, celebrities, and others.

Kevin Barrett Promotes New Book Claiming Israel Behind Paris Attacks

Update — 5/27/15: Barrett is continuing his speaking tour with stops in Michigan, Ontario, Alberta, California, Washington, and Georgia in May-August.

Kevin Barrett, anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist and frequent Press TV contributor, is on a speaking tour of the Midwest from April 19-30 to promote his new anti-Semitic and conspiratorial book, We Are Not Charlie Hebdo! Free Thinkers Question the French 9/11.

According to Barrett, his book tour includes stops at public libraries in Iowa, the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City, the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis, as well as stops in Peoria, Illinois and Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin.

A photo posted on Facebook shows approximately 15 people in attendance for his talk in Fairfield, Iowa.

Barrett’s We Are Not Charlie Hebdo! Free Thinkers Question the French 9/11 features essays by Barrett as well as from twenty-one others, most of which claim that the shootings at the Charlie Hebdo headquarters and at a kosher market in Paris were a “false flag operation” perpetrated by any number of culprits including the Israeli government, the United States government, and/or the French government.

The majority of the interviews and essays featured in the anthology allege that Israel, with or without help from the United States, orchestrated the attacks. Barrett claims that these attacks were just one in a long history of events – such as the 9/11 attacks and the 2001 anthrax poisonings – perpetrated by Israel in order to “incite hatred of Muslims and solidarity with Israel.”

Such conspiracy theories are nothing new for Barrett, who recently appeared on Iran’s English-language propaganda network, Press TV, where he claimed that Jews and/or Israel were behind the creation of ISIS, the 2011 attacks in Norway that left 77 people dead, and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In his new book, Barrett invokes anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about supposed Jewish manipulation of world events, claiming that the West does not comprehend Israel’s duplicity because of “the extent of clandestine Zionist power; and the fact that the Holocaust story has become the most sacred narrative of the West, despite the questionable factual basis of some of its most important details.”

This theme is echoed by anti-Semitic columnist Paul Craig Roberts, who writes that Israel committed the Paris attacks to nefariously influence the French government’s policies on the Middle East. The attacks, he alleges, “served Israel’s destruction of Palestinians and stifled rising European opposition to Israel’s theft of the West Bank and military assaults on Gaza.”

9/11 conspiracy theorist Barbara Honegger posited other motivations for Israel to have committed the Paris attacks. Honegger writes, “Israel was a secret hand behind the attacks designed to fan the fear of violent anti-Semitism toward the goal of mitigating its growing demographic crisis by increasing Jewish emigration to Israel.”

Ashahed Muhammad, assistant Editor of the Nation of Islam’s Final Call newspaper and author of The Synagogue of Satan, does not state explicitly that Israel is to blame for the Charlie Hebdo shooting, but does maintain that “in media, politics, academia, or social activism, the world is bullied into compulsory obedience by the muscular Israel first lobby,” raising anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about supposed Jewish control of a number of sectors of society.

One notable exception to the “false flag” narrative promoted by Barrett’s book is an essay by Rabbi Michael Lerner. Lerner reportedly was “absolutely misled” by Barrett when Barrett asked the rabbi’s permission to include his writing in the book.
